Stonjourner—not to be confused with Stonejourner—is a new Pokémon in Pokemon Go that got added to the game on Sept. 3 alongside the latest season of content and the introduction of new Galar Pokémon for the first time in three years since Ultra Unlock 2021.
Unlike most Galar Pokémon, Stonjourner joins the exclusive list of Pokémon only available in certain regions. So, unless you live in the country it spawns in, you’ll have no choice but to travel or wait for an event to make it available elsewhere to grab it.
How to find and catch Stonjourner in Pokémon Go
Stonjourner can only be found in Pokémon Go in the United Kingdom. It won’t naturally spawn in any other region and can only be found in the wild.
You’d think the Pokémon would only spawn around Stonehenge to give you that authentic feeling of being based on the mysterious ruins in the English countryside, but to save you the trip, Niantic has spawned it pretty much everywhere from England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland.
This is great news for those in the north of Ireland who have a chance to find one on the border. France might also get the odd rare spawn when it comes to the northwest of the country near Calais (it’s so close to the UK), similar to how Klefki sometimes spawns in the U.K. from the same areas despite being a French-exclusive spawn.
Can Stonjourner be Shiny in Pokémon Go?
Stonjourner cannot be Shiny yet in Pokémon Go and likely won’t be for a while. Most new Pokemon debuts take at least a year to add their Shiny form. With regional exclusives, it can sometimes be multiple years, with Niantic holding off on adding the Shiny forms until a Go Tour event or something like Go Fest, so give it at least a year before you see a shiny Stonjourner appear, if not longer.
To give you an idea, we are still waiting for Shiny debuts for a few regional forms like Klefki and Maractus several years after they were first introduced, and we don’t expect to get these until their respective Go Tour events over the next few years. So don’t expect to see Shiny Stonjourner, if we had to guess, until 2026 at the earliest.
