How to get access to Marvel Rivals closed beta test on PC and console

Marvel Rivals has been making waves since its announcement, with hype reaching critical levels during the first closed alpha test in May. The excitement is expected to skyrocket though when the closed beta test starts, fueled by a bigger player base and the arrival of console players.

The team at NetEase has promised that the closed beta for Marvel Rivals will have five times the player base as the closed alpha across PC and console, with servers expanding to Europe and Asia as well. Both new and returning players will have a new map and new heroes to test out as well.

While players that managed to get into the closed alpha test will have a much easier time getting into the closed beta, there’s plenty more spots available during this next phase. Here’s everything we know so far about the upcoming Marvel Rivals closed beta test.

The Marvel Rivals closed beta test is scheduled to begin on July 23, 2024, according to NetEase Games. It will be available on PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.

PC players that managed to reach account level 10 during the closed alpha test should already have closed beta access secured. Regardless of whether you reached level 10 or not, PC players will need to request access from the Marvel Rivals Steam store listing beginning July 20 at 5pm CT. Confirmations will begin daily on July 21, and those selected will be “promptly notified.”

Console players will have to complete a questionnaire first, similar to the one that PC players had to fill out when signing up for the closed alpha test back in May. Those that complete the questionnaire and are selected for beta access will receive an email.

If you don’t manage to get access to the closed beta through these methods, the good news is that something similar to the extra invite code event from the alpha is returning for the closed beta. During the alpha, players that reached account level six could claim a single invite code to invite one friend.

The Marvel Rivals closed beta test will conclude on Aug. 5.
