How to lose the police in Schedule 1

Schedule 1 thrusts you into a world of drug dealing and building an illegal business, sometimes behind the cover of some legal ones. This makes the police one of your biggest enemies. 

The world of Schedule 1 is dangerous, and there are several ways for you and your business to get attacked and fail. With the law being especially strict in this game and police officers prowling every inch of the city, you’ll need to evade them and be smart about carrying out your business ventures and growing your empire.

Here’s how to lose the cops in Schedule 1.

How to escape the police in Schedule 1

Escaping the police in Schedule 1 is quite similar to doing so in other games like GTA V. You get a “Wanted” level, and if you successfully lose it, you’ll be safe. 

One of the most effective methods to lose the cops is breaking their line of sight. If a police officer spots you, the first thing you need to do is get out of the small circle they have around them. Staying inside that circle allows them to handcuff you and take you into custody.

Once you’re out of the circle and maintaining that distance, run as fast as you can. Turn and weave around corners or hide behind objects like trees, billboards, trash cans, cars, boxes, or even half-walls. Any place where a cop can’t spot you will work.

You won’t be able to get into one of your houses while the “Under Arrest,” “Wanted,” or “Wanted dead or alive” signs are flashing on your screen, so don’t try. But when they stop flashing, you can start running out like a progress bar. So all you have to do is stay out of sight until the sign stops flashing. 

Best spots to hide

One of the best spots to hide and run out of the progress bar when being chased by the police is the roof of Fat Dragon Chinese Restaurant, which Mrs. Ming, your landlord, runs. It’s right beside your second house in the game, and you don’t need to use any complicated parkour skills to access it. All you need to do is walk along the little platform under your window, turn the corner, and crouch. The police won’t be able to spot you, and if they do, just adjust your position to break the line of sight again. This will help you escape, even if your wanted level is “Wanted dead or alive.”

Another great place to hide is inside dumpsters. While you can always open them to put trash bags inside, jumping inside and closing the dumpster lid can prove to be an effective hiding place when nothing else is in sight. You can hide inside the big open-cover dumpsters scattered around the city, but you’ll have to pick one in a good location. Look for them in alleys and behind stores and other buildings.

You can always get creative when running from the cops in Schedule 1, so try to find hard-to-reach or hidden areas that require walking along thin platforms. You can find one at the end of the Sauerkarut Supreme road, behind the pink building with the grey car parked beside it.

What happens if you get caught?

If the police catch you, you’ll have to pay a fine based on the severity of your crimes and how many of them you’ve committed. While violating curfew doesn’t hurt you that much, resisting arrest and assaulting police officers can stack up and cause real damage to your finances in the early stages of the game. However, you don’t lose any money if you don’t have any cash when you’re arrested. So, it’s better to deposit all or most of your money in the bank, especially while delivering drugs, attempting to pickpocket people, or doing anything risky or illegal.
