Leveling up your character in Palworld is crucial, but having the flexibility to reset their stats is just as important. There are choices you want to reconsider and adjust as you progress.
Similar to many other survival games, Palworld allows you to level up your character so that you can progress within the game and face the toughest enemies around the map. This is done using six different player stats including health, stamina, attack, defense and more, all of which can be improved and increased using Stat Points.
You can earn Stat Points by mining, building, fighting, and defeating Pals around the game’s map and then assign them to a stat of your choice. But what if you want to change how you’ve distributed your stat points to improve an aspect of your build? While it’s possible to do so, you’ll have to wait a long time to unlock the privilege.
Palworld character respec method
You can respec your character stats in Palworld, but you’ll have to be deep into the game to unlock the process. The only way to respec your stats in Palworld is by using the Memory Wiping Medicine, which, although listed as a common consumable, can only be done after you’ve sunk many hours into the game.
Thankfully, the bug that formerly reduced your Catching Power when using a Memory Wiping Medicine has now been fixed, so you can use the potion without any problems.
To craft a Memory Wiping Medicine, use an Electric Medicine Workbench—which is only available to unlock once you hit Level 43. You’ll need three points to unlock it under the Technology tree, and the materials you’ll need to craft this special workbench are listed below:
- 10 Carbon Fiber
- 40 Refined Ingot
- 20 Circuit Board
Once you’ve crafted the Electric Medicine Workbench and placed it in your base, you need to gather all the materials needed to make the Memory Wiping Medicine, which is a potion. A list of these ingredients can be found below:
If you’re yet to reach Level 43 and unlock the Electric Medicine Workbench, you’re out of luck—there is no other way to respec your character stats. Be extremely careful when making choices to ensure you use all hard-earned Stat Points.
Aside from crafting them using an Electric Medicine Workbench, you can acquire the Memory Wiping Medicine potions in two other ways:
- You can find them within chests across Palpagos Islands in Palworld. However, these chests often require a Silver Key, which is dropped by certain Pals like the Leezpunk and Leezpunk Ignis. Since getting the Medicine can prove costly, hoarding these when you see them could prove crucial.
- You can get them as a reward for defeating the Lovander Pal. The Lovander is a Neutral Pal, and can only be found at night. It can be quite quick at dealing damage and retreating, so be careful when you try to capture or fight one.
How to respec Pal stats in Palworld
You can respec Pal stats using the Statue of Power. Just like your player, every Pal you catch can also be upgraded and made more effective for combat and work around your base. Unlike player stat respeccing, however, the process to reassign your Pal’s stat points or change their dominant stats can be unlocked at level 6 using the Technology tree. Here’s what you need to build a Statue of Power in Palworld:
- 20 Stone
- 10 Palladium Fragment
Once you’ve built the Statue of Power, walk up to it and press V to enhance your Pal’s stats. Then, select the Pal you want to respec or reset and click on “Enhance Pals” or “Reset.” You’ll need some gold if you want to reset them, so make sure you collect a fair bit before attempting this. You can also get back any Pal Souls you’ve used by using the reset option.
