The Galar region Starter Pokémon have arrived in Pokémon Go during the Max Out season. These long-awaited Pokémon are finally making their debut, and they’re the main focus of a collection challenge kicking off the season, the Galar Beginnings.
You’ll be tasked with catching the three Starter Pokémon from Pokémon Sword and Shield and evolving them at least once. The trick is to track all three Pokémon down and ensure you have enough candies to evolve them. Many Pokémon Go players are excited to get their hands on them, and you’ll want to catch them at least once for the Galar Beginnings All Out Collection Challenge in Pokémon Go.
All Galar Beginnings Collection Challenge Pokémon and rewards in Pokémon Go
The Galar Beginnings Collection Challenge should begin at the start of the Max Out season Pokémon Go. These Pokémon are expected to appear in the wild for a set amount of time, and they’ll be rotating in and out of any future Pokémon Go events.
You need to catch only three Pokémon for this challenge: Scorbunny, Sobble, and Grookey. Tracking them down might not seem complicated, but as Starter Pokémon from the Galar Region, they may be rare to encounter. You’ll need enough of them to evolve them, too. Here’s a list of the Pokémon you need to obtain to complete the Galar Beginnings Collection Challenge in Pokémon Go.
Pokémon | Collection Methods |
---|---|
Grookey | You can find Grookey in the wild as a Field Research reward or hatch it from five km eggs. |
Thwackey | You need to evolve Grookey into Thwackey. |
Scorbunny | You can find Scorbunny in the wild as a Field Research reward or hatch it from five km eggs. |
Raboot | You need to evolve Scorbunny into Raboot. |
Sobble | You can find Sobble in the wild as a Field Research reward or hatch it from five km eggs. |
Drizzile | You need to evolve Sobble into Drizzile. |
Collection Challenge completion rewards: 5,000 XP, 2,500 Stardust, and a Wooloo encounter.
The first three Starter Pokémon are going to be your primary focus. Catching them once should be easy, but you need to encounter them multiple times to receive enough candies to evolve them. Thankfully, you only need to reach their middle evolutions, which only cost 25 Candies of the respective Pokémon. Multiple methods exist to find them, including wild encounters, hatching five km eggs, and completing Field Research tasks.
