The new season in The First Descendant means a new character joining the fight against Vulgus. Apart from Ultimate Freyna, season one introduces a new “cool” Descendant, Hailey.

Hailey release date in The First Descendant
According to the official update schedule, Hailey joins the war against Vulgus on Aug. 29 with the launch of season one. This update also adds new Invasion dungeons, seasonal power scaling, and a new battle pass.
Below, you can find a countdown showing how many days and hours are left until Hailey is available to unlock. Keep in mind that the official season one launch time hasn’t been confirmed, so give or take a few hours.

Who is Hailey in The First Descendant?
Hailey is a Chill Descendant armed with an anti-material sniper rifle. She seems to be a dedicated Chill damage-dealing character as opposed to Viessa, who’s designed for debuffing and crowd control.
Here’s everything we know about Hailey’s skills in The First Descendant:
- Cryo Round: Fires a Cry Round that tracks the enemy, deals damage, and inflicts the Cryo effect, dealing additional damage.
- Storm Snare: Fires a beam, knocking back enemies and inflicting Cryo.
- Cold Fury: Decreases movement speed but significantly increases Firearm and Skill Critical Hit Rate and Firearm Penetration.
- Zenith: Equips the anti-material Sniper Cannon. Greatly increases anti-material sniper rifle’s penetration, Firearm ATK, and Chill skill damage. The weapon recovers MP when hitting weak points and decreases the Cooldown the more bullets you have remaining when the skill ends.
Right now, we don’t know if Hailey has any Transcendent Modules coming with season one to change or enhance her kit. However, you can be sure there will be skins available in the shop once she becomes available.
