If you can’t wait to jump into Marvel Rivals, here’s everything we currently know about the upcoming game’s release date.
Marvel Rivals release date
At the time of writing, Marvel Rivals does not have an official release date. After a closed alpha test in May 2024 and a closed beta test in July and August 2024, the game is in full development and pushing along ever-closer to a full launch, though.
It’s possible that there will be another beta test, possibly an open beta, before 2024 comes to an end. But for now, any release date idea is just speculation. With each test, however, the game comes closer to launch, so it’s likely closer than many players may think. When the game has a full release date, the countdown will begin.
Marvel Rivals lets players become their favorite heroes and villains from the Marvel Universe. The exact lineup isn’t confirmed yet, but there’s already over 20 confirmed heroes: Groot, Hulk, Iron Man, Doctor Strange, Black Panther, Mantis, Magneto, Spider-Man, Magik, Luna Snow, Loki, Star-Lord, The Punisher, Storm, Rocket Raccoon, Scarlet Witch, Peni Parker, Thor, Venom, Adam Warlock, Jeff the Land Shark, and Namor.
When Marvel Rivals finally launches, players expect more heroes and villains to join the developing roster. Not only do the characters have unique abilities, but the heroes also have a fun team-up feature that combines abilities for interesting attacks, buffs, and more.
Given the sheer popularity of Marvel’s longstanding comics and cinematic universe, fans are ready to dive into Marvel Rivals as soon as possible when it’s fully out. For now, we’ll just have to wait for more news on the game to release.
